We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Flight Operations Manager to join our fast-paced fulfillment and delivery team. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic settings, leads by example, and is looking to develop their leadership career. A foundational understanding of supply chain processes and performance metrics is highly desirable.

Various shifts are available. Core hours are 8:00am-8:00pm, but hours will vary between 6:00am-10:00pm with a max of 40 hours a week. Hours are dependent upon business needs, personal preference, and may vary between a traditional 8 hours, 5 days a week or even 12, 12, 12, 4.

responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and staffing across assigned locations
  • Partner with management to provide consistent seven-day market leadership coverage
  • Create and review schedules, identify coverage gaps, and coordinate staffing solutions
  • Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, dress code, and policy compliance
  • Coach and develop Tier 1 and Tier 2 employees and hold team members accountable for performance
  • Facilitate onboarding and operational training and ensure all required documentation is completed
  • Monitor key operational metrics, including order performance, collection times, out-of-stock rates, and site readiness
  • Conduct routine site visits and maintain visibility with field teams
  • Communicate daily priorities, risks, staffing needs, and operational updates to leadership
  • Partner with recruiting and staffing vendors to address vacancies, call-outs, and attendance concerns
  • Investigate and document employee incidents and escalate matters appropriately
  • Maintain accurate attendance, training, performance, and disciplinary records
  • Support launches, schedule changes, process improvements, and other market-growth initiatives
  • Serve as the primary market contact when upper management is off or unavailable
qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience supervising employees in operations, logistics, transportation, retail, hospitality, field services, or a similar fast-paced environment

- Previous experience managing employee schedules, attendance, and performance

- Experience leading teams across multiple locations or geographically dispersed worksites

- Ability to work five days per week on a schedule that may include weekends, early mornings, evenings, or holidays based on operational needs

- Ability to travel regularly between assigned-area locations

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Ability to work independently while maintaining frequent communication with remote leadership

- Ability to use spreadsheets, scheduling platforms, messaging tools, and digital reporting systems

- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to time-sensitive staffing and operational issues

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Ability to meet any physical and site-access requirements associated with the operation

- Experience managing vendor-supplied or contingent workforces

- Experience supporting last-mile delivery, aviation, autonomous technology, or emerging-technology operations

- Experience working in a client-facing or outsourced service environment

- Familiarity with workforce-management, attendance-tracking, and scheduling systems

- Experience opening new locations or supporting market expansion

- Experience preparing daily and weekly operational reports

- Knowledge of progressive discipline and employee-relations documentation
